Tuesday 14 May 2019, after so many years, finally Il Loggiato di San Bartolomeo returns to living its own life.
The reopening event is the HUMAN CONDITION exhibition by the artist Zhong HongMei .
Inserted in the circuit of the  
Week of Cultures event , with the patronage of the  Municipality of Palermo , the Metropolitan City and China Art Now, the inauguration will also be an opportunity to implement the crowdfunding activity in favor of the Loggiato.
In fact, a contribution of 10 euros will be requested from all those who participate; The proceeds will be entirely dedicated to the recovery of the Loggia which, despite the highly appreciated efforts of the patrons and private partners who are allowing it to reopen, still needs further restoration work.

The artist
Born in 1973, she graduated from the Shangdong Academy of Fine Arts at the faculty of textile design in 1996 and, a second time in 2001, from the Qing University Hua, still in textile design, where she also attended a teaching qualification master. Aggregate professor of Art from 1996 to 1998, from 2000 to 2001 he taught textile design at the Institute of Specialized Education for the handicapped and, in 2001, he became a tenured professor at the Shangdong Academy of Fine Arts at the faculty of textile design.
Since 2000 he has collaborated with the most important Italian, English and Chinese textile design companies and began his artistic career with exhibitions and collaborations in the United States, Central and South America and Europe. His work develops through a research dedicated to abstraction, but still linked to some historical references deriving from Chinese realism.
In 2000, her works entitled “Barchetta” and “Tessuti” were selected and exhibited at the Beijing Upholstery Biennial of International Art.
In 2001 she exhibited at the International Exhibition Woman of Art and participated in the competition organized by the Qing Hua University, winning the second prize.
In 2004 he received recognition for the education of textile art with the essay Textile art for the protection of the environment, published in the magazine “Architetture d’interni in Cina”.
In 2010 he took part in the II Biennial of Sabbioneta “Paralleli” and in the traveling exhibition “Stemperando opere su carta” in Turin, Rome and Cosenza.
In 2011 she exhibited in Denver at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design at the “Post Boom Exhibition” and in Miami at the Kavachnina Gallery at the collective exhibition “Zhang Hongmei, Zeng Yi and Xu De Qi”.
In 2012 he presented a video of his work at the Center Pompidou in Paris, organized a personal exhibition at the Chinese Cultural Institute in Berlin and exhibited in London at the “Olympic Fine Arts” exhibition, organized by the Chinese government on the occasion of the Olympic Games. In Italy, in Alessandria, he participates together with other important Chinese artists in the group show “Oltremao” at Palazzo Monferrato.
In 2013, at the Chinese Cultural Institute in Madrid, she inaugurated the exhibition “Zhang Hongmei obras Recientes” and, between 2013 and 2014, the City of Barolo invited her to set up a personal exhibition in the Aula Picta within the of the “Collisions” event.
In 2014 she exhibited in China at the Dalian Art Exhibition Hall and in Hohhot at the National Art Museum and was invited to Paris at the International Exhibition of graphics and design.
In 2015 she participates in the Venice Biennale as part of the “Friendship Project China” promoted by the Republic of San Marino, the Chinese Cultural Institute in Cairo dedicates a personal exhibition to her the Municipality of Sordevolo invites her to try her hand at an at least unusual theme for a Chinese artist, the Passion of Christ, creating a cycle of 12 works.
In 2016 you were present at Gotha, the prestigious international market exhibition in Parma, and again in 2016 you were the protagonist of numerous initiatives in China wanted by the Government.
In 2018, a solo exhibition at the Pirra Art Gallery in Turin in collaboration with Vincenzo Sanfo and Diffusione Italia International Group, simultaneously with an installation in the Courtyard of the University Rectorate.
